Here is a mobile upload of my youngest son Joel with Layla on her 2nd week at Puppy School.  Here Joel, with the help of a tasty treat (hotdog sausage titbit) has put Layla into this position by positioning the treat upto her nose and then lures Layla down so it is between her front legs. He holds it there until it becomes comfortable for Layla to lie down rather than sit in that position. He then feeds her the treat as soon as her elbows touch the floor and gives her lots of praise.
Layla is able to sit, down and stand with the help of a treat.
At class we also learnt how to call Layla back from a distraction using titbits to lure her and to hold her collar before feeding her the treat. In this way, Layla will learn that being held by the collar leads to good things happening to her.
And we also learnt how to walk Layla on a loose lead. Again all with the use of titbits.

Joel Layla and I are loving this Puppy School. It is a great way to bond and teach puppy essential tools for her lifetime.

Layla has personality, she is fun, she is loving, she is clever.
What more could I want...I have the whole package.
Not only is Layla a beauty, she has an inner beauty...and I am besotted with her. She loves the pack and they love her too. Its as if she has always been here.
She has made her place known and sleeps on the bed. She loves to be cuddled up.
I am overjoyed with Layla....she is perfect

Beautiful 4 1/2month old Layla is finally home. Layla travelled from Grand Junction to Denver on Wednesday where she stayed until her flight yesterday.
Layla arrived at 10.30am this morning at Heathrow Airport. After a phone call to the airport to clarify pick up, Karen, Joel and I left for Heathrow. We arrived approx 2.45 and was able to take Layla home just after 3pm after all paperwork had been passed.
Layla is settling in well. She has had her tea, been for a walk with Lilly and Arnie and has made herself comfortableon the sofa with Roger.

Layla became quickly attached to my 13 year old son. She sat on his lap for the 2 1/2 hour jouney home. I think they will be good friends for a long time.

Shawn Centeno(Laylas breeder) has proved to be everything and more that a breeder stands for....not only does she breed beautiful,well socialized puppies from health tested parents, but has proved to be trustworthy, sincere and honourable....Thank you Shawn from the bottomof my heart!

Layla will be arriving at Heathrow Airport 09.30 Sat 12th January and I am so excited.
On Tuesday 8th Layla will have her Tapeworm and then Shawn will meet our Pet Air Agent at Denver Airport on Friday 11th for Layla to begin her journey home to us in the Uk.
Karen and I will greet Layla at Heathrow at approx 2pm on the Saturday as it takes between 4 to 5 hours for Layla to clear customs. All paperwork has to be cleared and my VAT bill paid.
Our journey home will take another couple of hours, but it will all be worth the wait.
Layla will be 4 1/2 months old.
Please be prepared for lots of photos of her.
It has been a long wait on one hand and then on the other Shawn has kept me upto date with her developments and progress, so it has been just about bearable.
So as to date everything is going according to plan. This following week will be stresful for both Shawn and I making sure all the paperwork is completed, Usda forms rubber stamped and then Shawn taking Layla to the airport. Please keep everything crossed for us.
