karen, rebecca, karen and I, joined up for an afternoon walk with karen's two poodles, my dogs and also the two babies ginny and lara.
ginny is quite a character as you will see when viewing the photographs.
she is quite vocal and just couldn't contain herself with her desire to getting down with the other dogs...HOWEVER...she will have to wait a little longer until she is fully vaccinated.

When taking puppies out and about before completing their course of inoculations, make sure that you carry puppy [as seen in the pictures] in public areas...this is to safeguard the pups from infection.
To make carrying the puppies easier, we wrapped a thin blanket around ourselves so that the puppies could rest comfortably in our arms without any stress to them or our arms and of course this made waling an enjoyable experience for us and the pups.

It is important to socialize puppies at a very young age by taking them out and about, BUT the experience must always be enjoyable as a bad experience can and will leave an imprint in the mind of the pup.
socialization is more than just exposure..its a rich blend of skills, experiences and enrichment....for the overall well being of the pups development.
Quality rather than the quantity of social interactions is far better for the pup...  

say hello to lara, our strong, brave, incredible girl, that fought for her place in life and succeeded.
​lara was one of three of our puppies that had fading puppy syndrome, where one of our puppies died. Her sister and her fought and won. 
lara is staying with us and we look forward to watching her grow and flourish so there will be lots of updates and progress.
she is fit and healthy, not to mention determined.

my boy continues to thrive at agility. He needs only to be shown once or twice and hes away.

it has taken me this long to be able to write this blog.
two days before the puppies were three weeks old tragedy struck.
three of our beautiful babies were struck down with fading puppy syndrome.
our purple collar girl died and i fought hard to keep my two babies, orange collar and pink collar girl...through several sleepless nights and intensive care ....both have survived....
Ginny, our pink collar girl, is a bund​le of mischief, full of life and packed full of energy...shes another pocket dynamite
lara, our orange collar girl, is bright and alert, and will stay as i cannot bare to part with her. she fought and won...how could i part with her...
