Sassy is nearing the end of her season, without a tie from Kurtis. We may be lucky and she maybe pregnant from the slip tie that she had with Kurtis, but I am not under any illusion and the probability is she will not have puppies this time. It was always going to be touch and go with Kurtis, being a novice and only being in the country a short time before his first girlfriend, but it was a chance I wanted to take. However, I do believe that sassy going to him and staying with him has helped him settle quickly into his new home with Rach and Gavin. When Sassy came home, Kurtis came too, in the hope that he would continue his progress, but this was not meant to be.....

Samson was asked to step up to the mark, but Sassy was not happy and that was that...no tie.

But! I must share this with you all, he came into my home and introduced himself to the pack with ease and dignity. He slotted into my home like a glove. He has enjoyed off lead running, playing and chasing the ball...alongside my stud boys and girls. His temperament and disposition are second to none and I thank his breeder for not just breeding a dog with incredible good looks, but a dog that is self assured, confident, friendly, sweet and very affectionate....
I truly hope that I am able to use this boy with my girls and pass down his wonderful traits!...We do have some action shots of Kurtis which I will post soon.... 

So far there has been no mating between the handsome Kurtis and beautiful Sassy. There is a little height difference which is proving a little problematic, but saying that we still have time and what is meant to be will be just that. 
Kurtis has a wonderful, sweet disposition and Sassy is quite smitten with him, so they are both enjoying each others company.

Kurtis.. 'why not of working star' is a junior champion..and has been hip scored in his country with an "excellent" score....A MASSIVE thank you Rachael and Gav for giving Sassy the opportunity in having a stunning litter of red/apricots....fingers crossed!!!!

My dear Arnie has been tested as being sterile. We have no answers to why this has happened, but have been told that it is very common in standard poodle stud dogs and that when it does happen it happens very quickly, as in Arnie's case.
The good news is Arnie is clear of infections, does not have prostate problems, does not have a problem with his thyroid and is the perfect picture of health and beauty.
I will continue with his high Omega 3, 6 9 oil and glycoflex in the hope that one day he will produce sperm...who knows...never say never, but the vet feels this is extremely unlikely to happen.
Nothing changes for Arnie, his life continues as before....enjoying life to the full and sleeping on our bed...(until Roger comes to bed :-) )
