Layla  finally come into season on Christmas morning.
We have had to make some changes to the stud dog we were going to use, but will go ahead and mate Layla to Kurtis.
Kurtis sired our two litters this year, one litter with Daisy and the second litter with Sassy and both litters were beautiful, sweet litters with smashing little characters.
In 18 months time and should everything go to plan we will use our original boy Toby, Argentcymru Atlas. 
Mother Nature certainly has its own plans!

The paring, if all goes well, should result in a beautiful litter of red and apricot puppies. Both Layla and Kurtis are red standard poodles.
We will keep you all updated 

We are still awaiting on Lilly and Layla to come into season, however, we do have 3 of our girls in season and shouldnt think it will be to long before both girls join them.
Both girls are in peak condition, exercising well and in great health.

The photo of lilly  was taken at the beginning of this month (Dec 2014) as you can see, Lilly, after two litters, has a fabulous body and Layla, (photo taken in November 2014)  who has never had a litter, is looking in super condition also.

Lilly will be mated to my gorgeous boy Louis. This will be their third litter together. The litter will produce silver and black/blue puppies.

Layla will be mated to Toby, a light red boy from sassy and arnie's only litter.
Toby has been hip, elbow and SA tested and I am pleased to announce hip score of 12, elbows 0/0 and SA CLEAR.

More and more, I see the importance of daily exercise, the fact that dogs need to have full exercise and not just a quick walk around the block. Body and mind are connected and I believe this is why we can have 12 dogs living in the house, that come to bed with us at night and that are happy, well adjusted and healthy. 

Don't forget I have 5 boys, Regus was castrated a couple of months ago and Arnie is sterile, but all live happily alongside each other. Its not been easy, especially when they were younger, and needed to learn appropriate behavior, but I am delighted to say that we all live in harmony together with the girls taking the leading role of top dog.

Make no mistake, the standard poodle is no sissy...clever, athletic, powerful and protective, the standard needs to be understood as a wonderful companion that needs love and attention, that needs full exercise and that thrives on being a family member.
