More and more, I see the importance of daily exercise, the fact that dogs need to have full exercise and not just a quick walk around the block. Body and mind are connected and I believe this is why we can have 12 dogs living in the house, that come to bed with us at night and that are happy, well adjusted and healthy.
Don't forget I have 5 boys, Regus was castrated a couple of months ago and Arnie is sterile, but all live happily alongside each other. Its not been easy, especially when they were younger, and needed to learn appropriate behavior, but I am delighted to say that we all live in harmony together with the girls taking the leading role of top dog.
Make no mistake, the standard poodle is no sissy...clever, athletic, powerful and protective, the standard needs to be understood as a wonderful companion that needs love and attention, that needs full exercise and that thrives on being a family member.
