At 2 1/2 weeks, Lucias beautiful babies began to fade...one by one we lost 5 puppies over the course of five days. To say that I was living a nightmare is an understatement....we have no idea why...we have had 2 autopsies and samples sent to the laboratory ...nothing has shown up. Internal organs were healthy and vets have only to say that it was a virus.
The remaining 5 puppies were completely unaffected and are big bonny babies who are in the process of being weaned.
I'm heartbroken beyond words.
